Heartland All Species Project

The Heartland All Species Project mission is to encourage neighborhood community that addresses the environmental crisis through a broad range of programs including teens, organic markets, educational festivals, energy saving classes, film discussion series and more. They have created model neighborhood-sustainability programs by integrating environmental understanding into youth programs, with fun education around gardening (particularly for food), native landscaping, urban reforestation, home energy and waste reduction. Their demonstration "Urban Wilderness" is in a Kansas City neighborhood.
