Missouri Environmental Education Association

MEEA connects Missouri's Environmental Educators -- teachers in the classroom and educators in agencies and organizations -- with innovative professional development and networking opportunities to help them help Missourians become more environmentally responsible. They've been helping educators inspire Missourians to care about, understand and act for their environment since 1997. MEAA members helped write the Missouri Environmental Literacy Plan. MEAA provides tools related to programs such as the "No Child Left Inside" and "Children in Nature Challenge" which are designed to help and recognize communities and families who create opportunities for their children to get outside and discover nature firsthand. Among many other positive approaches, MEEA educates to prevent "Ecophobia" -- the paralyzing fear of the damage humans are doing to the earth. They provide inspiration, with directions for tools and reasoning, to seek progress for the health of all.
