Missouri Parks Association

The Missouri Parks Association is a group of more than 3,000 Missourians and other friends united by their love for, and interest in, Missouri's state park system. This volunteer-run organization has two key purposes 1: to educate public officials and the general public about the values at stake in our state park system, and 2: to defend our parks and historic sites when they are threatened. Ensuring that Missourians understand the need for an adequate and consistent base of financial support for the state park system is a key MPA task.
To engage more people in the park system, their Urban Populations Outreach Program annually provides field trips to Missouri's beautiful parks and historic sites for hundreds of urban youths from St. Louis, Kansas City and Columbia and several southwest Missouri communities.
